Dorton

 Norton From Dorton

1. Dorton

Far away, over the sea there is land called Dorton.

Dorton is not like it is here.

The roads are not really smooth.  They are covered with dirt and dust.

People say, everything in Dorton is covered in dirt and dust

When strangers come to Dorton, they can smell and taste the dust

But the people who live there don't notice it anymore

Unless a stranger comes and says,"Ugh, so much dust"

Then the people see and smell and taste the dust  for a few days.

But not many people come to visit Dorton.

It is hard to get there.

Mostly, people leave Dorton.

They go to America and Israel ( in the old days it was called Palestine)

They go to Argentina and Uruguay

They go to Australia and South Africa.

They go wherever they can get in.

And when they think back about the Dorton they left,

They remember the peace and the sweetness

Until they are reminded of the dust and the dirt

And the occasional pogrom.
